What's your power phrase?

What's your "power phrase"?

Is there a phrase you repeat to yourself when life is not going your way or when circumstances come up that affect your life plan or goals? 

Maybe it's "I'm amazing and God is good"...or "Come what may"...or "I got this." 

Find a phrase that you can repeat to yourself every time you get a negative thought...every time you're tempted to dwell on the uncontrollable.

Then repeat the phrase...over...and over...and over again...until you are able to calm down and take charge of your thoughts.

Why Exercise?


Did you know you can lose weight WITHOUT exercise?

Yep! 

So....WHY exercise if you can lose weight by merely eating healthy?


I know why I do!

Um, my MOOD is boosted...I know it improves my immune system and STRENGTHENS muscles I need for every day household tasks...I have more CONFIDENCE...and definitely more ENERGY. I'm HAPPIER when I exercise and more PATIENT.

Plus, I want to be healthy FOR my family...I want the energy to be present and active with them for a LONG time.

Exercise also reduces stress and provides clarity of thought...and the list goes on...

***NEW FLASH*** Losing weight should be the LEAST important reason why you should exercise.#truth

So, make EXERCISE a priority. 

Make it happen every day.

Make it something you do because you LOVE yourself. 

And because, well, you're WORTH it!!

Get Up and Workout


That's what my mind was telling my body. #getup

Late night date night makes for an early morning BUT when date nights are non negotiable  I'm willing to sacrifice an hour of sleep to get my workout in. 😍
Why?! 

Because I'm selfish when it comes to taking care of my health. I know how it feels to walk around in a haze, feeling sluggish and sapped of energy...only to have to raise and care for little humans.

Exercise and heathy eating habits give me ENERGY to be a more present and HAPPY mother.

So, YES....I'm being SELFISH...

But in a GOOD way. 😜

Set goals and be MINDFUL of them as you take daily steps TOWARD them. Rome wasn't built in a day and you can't reach your goals without hard work and dedication.

I'm content where I am with my fitness but that doesn't mean I can stop. It takes daily work to maintain it #fitisnotadestination 
I have to be MINDFUL of what I'm eating each and MINDFUL that I get my workout in each day. It takes work and it takes CONSISTENCY.

Set your goals and work toward them by being mindful.

Create Your Own Vision


Talk about a #MOTIVATIONALMONDAY!! Guess that happens when you fill your mind with motivational books and audio each day!

Ask yourself: Where am I going? 

Of course you might have your LONG, LONG term answer--knowing your divine potential--but I'm talking here and now...in the next 3-5 years...WHERE ARE YOU GOING??

Do you have a VISION for yourself...for your family?
MY vision includes...building a home with open fields all around...room for the boys to EXPLORE and be LOUD...even room for a bigger garden 
😝
...it includes financial FREEDOM for our family and which will allow for more trips to visit family and more MEMORIES to be made...MY vision even includes the smell of the ocean and the boys in the sand (I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.)

This used to be a vision for 10 and 20 years down the road, BUT I'm an impatient person and, frankly, I know that vision can happen a whole lot sooner than 20 years!!

Why not in 5 years...or 3 years?? 

I chose to COACH because I knew it would help me CREATE this vision and see that I CAN do hard things...things that will help me become a BETTER person--a better wife and mother...and things that will help my VISION become a reality...sooner.

Stepping Stones


When you set goals, you set "stepping stones" to achieving them. 

In The Master's Hammer & Chisel, my stepping stones are accomplishing EACH day's workout and being able to check off the day (like you see in my calendar there).

Another stepping stone is my HALF WAY mark! Which would be TODAY!!



4 weeks down, 4 to go. 
Halftime.

Can't wait to see the side by side after 4 more weeks.

It's the best feeling to look back at what you've achieved when you set your mind to something. 

Go after your GOALS!!! Get FOCUSED and don't get in your own way!

Challenge

If there ever was a program that CHALLENGED me it's this Hammer and Chisel one. (Insanity is right up there with it.)
Even better, there's a modifier on screen in case I need to take it down a notch. 😣

I remember scouring the Internet, Pinterest and blogs to find free workouts. If I saw something I liked, I'd save it and add it to my "file". But I didn't really know what I was doing as far as getting a solid workout in.
I always looked for "core workouts" (‪#‎problemarea‬) and called it good. Little did I know that there are workouts focused on legs and arms that actually work your core. ‪#‎newsflash‬ ‪#‎forgetsitups‬
Ultimately, I didn't want to get a PERSONAL TRAINER to tell me what I needed to do and I didn't have TIME to research the ins and outs of exercise to make sure I was doing things right and creating a solid routine.
Enter Beachbody programs>> my no-excuses-solution to getting in a good workout! These trainers have done all the work for me.
I just have to follow the workout calendar and meal plan and I have ALL I need to take care of my FITNESS and NUTRITION...without all the extra time putting it together.
Add SUPPORT and ACCOUNTABILITY to the equation and I've had the best results as far as losing baby weight after Luca and maintaining for over a YEAR now!! I call that --> SUCCESS
This whole Beachbody way of getting in shape isn't for everyone BUT if you've been looking for a SOLID foundation to getting in shape, or losing weight or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, then I invite you to join one of my online fitness challenges.
