Shakeology has Versatility

The glory of Shakeology is its versatility.
If you're not a "shake" person, you can use the powder to dip your banana in...add it to plain Greek yogurt...use it as a cocoa substitute in brownies....etc...

The other great thing is the plethora of ways to PREPARE it!

Not All Gym Are Created Equal

I was hopeful by to pick up where I left off with 21 day fix extreme, but I really wanted some weights.

I opted to stream 22 Minute Hard Corps from Beachbody On Demand instead.

No weights, and only 22 minutes.

What you get >>> a whole lotta sweat!

Extra Weight=Extra Resistance

Whether it's 5 pounds or 20 pounds...it's EXTRA weight and you have extra RESISTANCE.
Don't get caught up in the number...just use the weight that works for you (remembering proper form) and you'll get the workout you need!

Eventually, increase that weight over time, as you get stronger--but don't worry what others are lifting...just do your thang and focus on YOU!!

Staying Motivated

Exercising doesn't have to be pretty...I definitely don't look fab doing it haha.
21 DAY Fix Extreme UPPER Fix will make for some shaky arms.
30 minutes, no excuses. I can do anything for 30 minutes. And so can YOU!
Time is a concern for me when it comes to raising 4 littles. I feel like I'm constantly GOING (And fear it's only going to get worse as they get older)...so 30 minutes is my style!
No excuses. 
My non-negotiable....BECAUSE I get that boost in energy, love a good sweat, and love the "feel-good" post-workout HIGH...

I'm actually more motivated to eat clean when I have some soreness...it's a reminder of what I'm working for and that I don't want to throw it all away with a bowl of ice cream. (although it's been tempting at times) ‪#‎formericecreamaholic‬ 
😳
Exercise and healthy eating (at LEAST 80% of the time) go hand in hand. You can't out-exercise a bad diet.

Just got off a New Coach Call to help new coaches on our team get started on the right foot.


It may have been a few years since I've been in the classroom, but I still get opportunities to TEACH! ‪#‎teachersmakegreatcoaches‬


Like any teacher, I'm committed to those I serve and I definitely joy in their success...which only comes from supplying them with the proper knowledge and resources TO succeed.

Muscle Confusion

I know I was sore yesterday morning, but the soreness continues!!
I've been exercising consistently for well over a year now, but I STILL get sore. 

**NEWS FLASH** Soreness means your body is under construction!
😳
Muscle confusion will create the soreness, even if you're consistent with your exercise. I don't think it will ever fully go away if you're switching things up.
P.S. you can avoid a plateau if you switch things up...so walking or running every day will only get you so far.

I figured that out the hard way when I would run 5-6 times a week and not see much change...Go figure. 

You want weight loss, try tweaking your nutrition.
You want a change in your body composition, WORKOUT!!

Teachers Make Great Coaches

After graduating from college, in Elementary Education, I started my first teaching job in a small town in Idaho. Four years of full time teaching ended when we were blessed with beautiful children.
Daycare costs and time away from the kids were not worth it to us to have me working outside the home. 😁
So, I was on a journey to find something I could do to work from home…something I ENJOYED…and something that offered flexibility with my time and resources.
Four months after our fourth child, I was scrolling Facebook and found a friend who was sharing her fitness journey and inviting others to join her. That was the beginning of my personal journey as a Beachbody Coach.
Coaching has been a smooth transition, as a former teacher, because I practice many of the same habits and skills I used in the classroom. 
Both teachers and coaches are:
… caring and compassionate.
… committed to those we serve.
… understand the importance of time management.
… inspirational.
… resourceful and have mastered the skill of duplication.

Some mornings I wake up in a naturally groggy-sometimes-bad mood. Not sure why. I think it's the crazy dreams I have while sleeping on the couch.

Regardless, I'm always telling myself to SNAP OUT OF IT. I have to. I hate feeling that way! Ha! ‪#‎whodoesnt‬
Sooooooooo every morning I put my POSITIVE PANTS on...A.K.A. My workout pants...cuz these bad boys mean I get to take my HAPPY pill by EXERCISING and getting my dose of endorphins and serotonin.
Perfect way to kick the grumpy mood to the curb!
