Let's face it...being SKINNY doesn't always translate into HEALTHY! .
I'd rather be HEALTHY and if I'm "skinny" (which is SO relative) along the way, then so be it. .
Think about how you can be STRONGER in body... 
...stronger in MIND #personaldevelopment
...stronger in SPIRIT
...stronger in parenting, or WHATEVER.
We get this one chance in life to be stronger and BETTER than we were yesterday. 






Recommit to being the strongest and best that YOU can be.

Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding


Here's another great HEALTHY treat that will satisfy your sweet tooth...if you're a pudding guy or gal

I've revised since I last tried it a few months ago. 

And this time, we have pudding versus runny soup.

And it was super easy: almond milk (2 cups), 3 tbsp cocoa powder (or Chocolate Shakeology) OR 2 cups chocolate almond milk (which I didn't have).

1/2 cup chia seeds and a dash of vanilla 

Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

Fit For Life

Did you know that if you engage your core in ANY workout, you'll work your abs! I try to focus on doing that everyday! 

Since, well, that's my "problem area".

My goal is to be #fitforlife because it's a lifestyle--not a short term thing I do occasionally. Exercise and healthy eating go hand in hand and should be consistent.

Not perfect, but consistent. #beFIT

I may not be able to sleep in on most Sundays #lifewithkids but I do take a break from my workouts to rest my body. 


Don't forget that rest days are a part of the program. 



Don't burn yourself out by thinking you have to exercise EVERY day...so let yourself REST and let those muscles recover.

Tori's Transformation

So proud of my cousin Tori for sharing her transformation on her wall!!

She stepped out of her comfort zone to share with others how her life has changed since she's been consistently drinking Shakeology and exercising with 21 Day Fix, TurboFire and CIZE. 
She said, "Beachbody teaches you about working out, eating healthy, and creating good habits. It is not about a "quick fix" and promises to lose weight fast! You have to work for what you want! Nothing is easy, but if you put your mind to it, anything is possible! Thanks to these programs, I am down 35 lbs. Since September, I'm down a total of 12 inches."

When someone changes like she has, it shows in her countenance...way to go Tori!!

Best Night's Sleep

It was finally 7 am when I woke up! 😆 
Best night's sleep I've had in a LONG time...and we're not even at our own home! 😳

Don't let traveling keep you from staying consistent with your workouts. 
I love that I could stream my P90X3 workout from my laptop and didn't have to lug around the discs. 💪

I basically need a 5X5 space to do any of these workouts. 


You don't need a lot of space, time, or equipment.

Just get up and WORK OUT!

Strawberry Avocado Spinach Salad

Guilt-free Strawberry Avocado Spinach Salad 🍓🍓

•6 cups spinach
•small red onion sliced
•1/2 cup sliced almonds
•2 cups sliced strawberries
•1 avocado diced
•1/2 cup feta or bleu cheese crumbles

Toss ingredients and add your desired amount of poppyseed dressing. Enjoy!

Keep It Simple



It's that simple. #punintended 

I was just enlightened for an hour on the principle of simplicity and how I can "declutter" my life of things that are not truly important. #easiersaidthandone #iknow 

However, I AM going to make some changes...because I always have room for improvement. 😊

The lesson was more than relatable and definitely one that allowed for deep self reflection.

And the question of the day ...for me and for YOU and anyone...is to ask yourself, "Am I truly happy?"

Life can be hard but I know that the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are SIMPLE and I can be truly happy when I follow them.

Shopping Haul

Yesterday's shopping haul.

There's no trick to my meal planning. I stick to fruits, veggies, meats and nuts. I limit my bread, dairy, legumes and sugar.

For dinner, I just focus on getting veggies and meat and if I have a starch, it's a small portion. 

We do wraps, tacos, salads... And don't get too fancy, although we DO save the "fancy" for family dinners on Sunday. #eatwholefoods#itstartswithfood #cleaneating

Day 4 of Hammer & Chisel is working my muscles like cuh-razy!
So excited to see progress. 

And that's what MOTIVATES me!! When I can FEEL the sore muscles and SEE the slight improvements, it reminds me to keep going! 
...that things are WORKING! 

You won't get fit overnight. It takes TIME and CONSISTENCY...because FIT is not a DESTINATION. It's a lifestyle...
