Negative Goals

Today I want to share some personal development that I have been listening to. It is from Darren Hardy. He is talking about goals and living your best year.


2016! Why not?! Why can’t it be the best year ever with your fitness, business, and relationship goals?


A lot of times we set goals with things that we want to do but we forget about the things we want to stop doing in our lives. Today I was thinking about the things that I don’t want to be doing.


My challenge to you is to look at your goals and things that you want to reach for and do, but also look back and choose 3 things that you don’t want to do this year.



Some of mine are personal but some of them are:
  1. I don’t want to have sugar during the week. I do enjoy my sweets and treats, but if I do have a nutritional goal that I want to stop doing, that is it.
  2. With my business, I want to stop scrolling Facebook. It is a time waster, and I don’t have a lot of business that can be happening during that time. As a mom of four, I definitely want to use my time wisely as best as I can and when I am working I want to be doing things that are building my business and not wasting my time.

Those are just a few examples. Call them non-negotiables, or whatever you want to call them. Choose 2-3 things that you want to stop doing this year in addition to the goals that you want to reach. In reality, when you stop doing certain things, it’s going to lead you closer to your goals.
