One
pattern.
Many
hat options.
Gotta
love the faces on my models.
Some
are not so thrilled to be posing, while others are ecstatic!
My brother came to me last year and asked if I sewed. I chuckled and answered, "Yes."
You see, my mom is an advanced seamstress. She has the latest model of sewing machine and has a serger to accompany it. We grew up with her sewing our Sunday dresses, swim suits and other accessories. She taught me to sew. I can't really recall when I first started learning, but I know I got my first real machine in college since hers were accessible while we lived at home.
Back to my brother...he is an entrepreneur himself and he wanted me to sew some hats for him that he could sell in his eBay store. That first venture was to sew the Finn-inspired hat. The all white one with two ears. Apparently my sister, Celeste, had been sewing them for him but she got busy with work and school and couldn't meet the demand he was getting. I agreed and that's when my mind started chugging out ideas for other hats.
He had me add the blue Gumball Watterson hat.
I decided to try the Minion idea.
Then a customer asked if I could do Mario and Luigi.
A few months ago, I decided to try my hand at Olaf from Frozen.
The possibilities are endless!
What other characters can I design into a warm hat?!
