The Challenge

If there ever was a program that CHALLENGED me it's this Hammer and Chisel one. (Insanity is right up there with it.)
Even better, there's a modifier on screen in case I need to take it down a notch.

Over the years, I remember scouring the Internet, Pinterest and blogs to find free workouts. If I saw something I liked, I'd save it and add it to my "file". But I didn't really know what I was doing as far as getting a solid workout in.

I always looked for "core workouts" (#problemarea) and called it good. Little did I know that there are workouts focused on legs and arms that actually work your core. #newsflash #forgetsitups

Ultimately, I didn't want to get a PERSONAL TRAINER to tell me what I needed to do and I didn't have TIME to research the ins and outs of exercise to make sure I was doing things right and creating a solid routine.

Enter Beachbody programs>> my no-excuses-solution to getting in a good workout! These trainers have done all the work for me.

I just have to follow the workout calendar and meal plan and I have ALL I need to take care of my FITNESS and NUTRITION...without all the extra time putting it together.

Add SUPPORT and ACCOUNTABILITY to the equation and I've had the best results as far as losing baby weight after Luca and maintaining for over a YEAR now!! I call that --> SUCCESS ;)

This whole Beachbody way of getting in shape isn't for everyone BUT if you've been looking for a SOLID foundation to getting in shape, or losing weight or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, then I invite you to join one of my online fitness challenges. Quinoa Berry Parfait

Yesterday I made a batch of quinoa.
One cup of uncooked makes about 4 cups cooked...and that will last me most of the week when I use it to make this parfait. 

It's like those yogurt parfaits you can grab at a fast food place or ready made in the grocery store. I always want to get one because I'm a fan of yogurt and berries. 

But I bet ya a million bucks THIS one is way healthier! πŸ˜‰

It's a quinoa berry parfait, with just FOUR ingredients:with just 4 ingredients:


1/2 c. Quinoa (I just prepared the whole box and portioned out what I needed)
1/4 c. Plain Greek yogurt
1/2 c. Berries of your choice
A drizzle of pure honey

Pile on, then mix! πŸ™Œ

Simple, delicious, healthy treat for when you're craving something sweet! πŸ˜‰

Cutthroat Kitchen--Mom Stlye

You've watched the show, I'm sure...Alton Brown comes up with the craziest SABOTAGES that he auctions off for chefs to use toward their opponents. 

Well Alton, I have sabotage for YOU!! 

Auction of the opportunity for chefs to give a 19-month old, tired, hangry, hasn't-slept-in-10-hours toddler for their opponent to carry on his/her hip while preparing the meal of choice.
Ya!! Try doing THAT!!

This little man has his days and is otherwise independent by nature and easily entertained as he studies his older brothers and tags along during imaginative play periods...especially while I'm prepping dinner. 

But not last night. 

Poor guy has a cold and snotty nose and is just feeling crummy, so, of course, he wants to be held. 

Even at the most inopportune times. 

But I do it. 

Because I can. 

And dinner wasn't complicated (just a mixture of red potatoes, ground beef, and corn--seasoned to taste.) 


Being a mom of 4 boys is NOT easy, but I'm a work in progress and motherhood is developing me into a better person. #progressnotperfection

Create a VISION


Talk about a #MOTIVATIONALMONDAY!! Guess that happens when you fill your mind with motivational books and audio each day! ;) #anyonecanbenefitfrompersonaldevelopment

Ask yourself: Where am I going? 

Of course you might have your LONG, LONG term answer--knowing your divine potential--but I'm talking here and now...in the next 3-5 years...WHERE ARE YOU GOING??

Do you have a VISION for yourself...for your family?

MY vision includes...building a home with open fields all around...room for the boys to EXPLORE and be LOUD :/ ...even room for a bigger garden :P ...it includes financial FREEDOM for our family and which will allow for more trips to visit family and more MEMORIES to be made...MY vision even includes the smell of the ocean and the boys in the sand (I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.)

This used to be a vision for 10 and 20 years down the road, BUT I'm an impatient person and, frankly, I know that vision can happen a whole lot sooner than 20 years!!

Why not in 5 years...or 3 years?? 

I chose to COACH because I knew it would help me CREATE this vision and see that I CAN do hard things...things that will help me become a BETTER person--a better wife and mother...and things that will help my VISION become a reality...sooner. 

Coaching is not easy, but it IS simple. The things I do each day are simple things that, if consistent, WILL (and have) lead me to building a solid business and, in turn, helping my VISION unfold.

Did you know???

Did you know you can lose weight WITHOUT exercise? 󾍁

Yep!

So....WHY exercise if you can lose weight by merely eating healthy? σΎ‘σΎ–σΎŠσΎ™

I know why I do! 󾭞🏼
Um, my MOOD is boosted...I know it improves my immune system and STRENGTHENS muscles I need for every day household tasks...I have more CONFIDENCE...and definitely more ENERGY. I'm HAPPIER when I exercise and more PATIENT. 󾍘🏼

Plus, I want to be healthy FOR my family...I want the energy to be present and active with them for a LONG time. 󾍇

Exercise also reduces stress and provides clarity of thought...and the list goes on...

***NEW FLASH*** Losing weight should be the LEAST important reason why you should exercise. #truth

So, make EXERCISE a priority.

Make it happen every day.

Make it something you do because you LOVE yourself.

And because, well, you're WORTH it!! 󾬓󾬔󾬕
